Maria L. Campbell was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and moved to Florida, USA with her family at the age of 9. As a young lady, Maria embraced her creative mind and passion for The Arts through various channels. She maintained active involvement in community and church productions, quickly gaining experience to grow as a young performer. She continued to develop her talents throughout college, graduating in 2005 with a minor in Acting and Major in Psychology at The University of Central Florida in Daytona Beach, Florida. During this time and thereafter, Maria participated in local productions to
include those produced by Daytona State College, Flagler Playhouse Theatre in Bunnell, Florida and also SAK Comedy Club of Improvisation in Orlando, Florida. Maria advanced her skills through all four levels of the SAK Comedy Club of Improvisation training program, adding Freestyle Rap as an additional area of concentration. With her ability to perform on multiple levels, Maria took to the work of writing scenes in screen plays, improv skits, poetry, rap lyrics and short stories. Although she had many accomplishments to celebrate, the birth of her children are among the greatest of all. Currently, Maria works for the largest online Public School in the nation, Florida Virtual School, as a Spanish Instructor where she has been able to incorporate her creative talents through the development of virtual lesson plans, use of educational rap lyrics to connect with her students through and the integration of technology into a variety of student activities – all of which have proven to be successful in the engagement of students. With the responsibilities of career and family life, Maria now finds enjoyment in creative writing
and maintaining a deep connection within her mind, body and soul. Maria also completed a Yoga and Health Coach Certification and through the inspiration on her young daughter, she published her first children’s book in September 2015, “ Khloe Koala and the Red Impala.”
